comahan asked: I havent read the books either (I want to, but refuse out of fear that it might lessen my enjoyment of the show, which is amazing). Anyways, I think Stannis might still make an impact down the road. His men retreated as he screamed at them to stand and fight, and he had to be pulled back from the battle by his own guys. If he escapes, I think he might be back in the picture next season, this time with Melisandre at his side, as Davos is presumably no longer around to talk him out of it.
Oooh, that’s a good theory. I don’t know, I’m tempted to think the Baratheons are toast — I can’t see Tywin letting Stannis live, and you know that if Joffrey’s around, he’s going to go apeshit. That being said, Melisandre does have the whole shadow/demon/baby thing going for her, so she might have some tricks up her sleeve! SUCH a good episode. Did you hear next week’s episode is going to be 70 minutes long?
PS: I haven’t read the books, either! Normally I am a MAJOR book reader (I’ve read HP, LoTR, and Chronicles of Narnia probably fifty times apiece), but this one I haven’t yet…

Last night’s episode was so good! I loved Sansa and The Hound, and Tyrion was absolutely awesome as always.
As a non-reader, I’m anxious to see what happens next. With Dany stuck in Qarth and both Baratheons (apparently) out of the way, the Lannisters (with the support of the Tyrells) are completely kicking ass. Now it’s time for some serious Lannister/Tyrell v. Stark action in the next episode… and of course, the Starks are going to be split in all different directions, with Jaime no longer negotiable and Theon having taken Winterfell. Can’t wait to see what happens!
If only more Lannisters were like Tywin and Tyrion. Tywin/Tyrion for The Iron Throne 2012!*
* What I’m saying is, the sooner Joffrey and Cersei get murdered, the better (in my opinion).
